Noticeboard
London Festival of Bulgarian Culture (2010)
10.12.2009
Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you in my capacity as Artistic Director of the London Festival of Bulgarian Culture (LFBC) which will take place in November 2010 in major venues in London. We are looking for Sponsorship and are offering advertising opportunities throughout the whole spectrum of media coverage. We would be delighted to be able to welcome you as a partner of the LFBC and I would be grateful if you would read all the relevant information below:

The purpose of the London Festival of Bulgarian Culture is to:

Present a detailed overview of the breadth of Bulgarian Culture
Popularise the works of Bulgarian artists
Encourage and strengthen the artistic partnerships between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom

Our events will be held throughout November 2010 in some of the best concert halls and exhibition venues in London including:

The Queen Elizabeth Hall at the South Bank
St. James’s Piccadilly
St. John’s Smith Square, amongst others

We are proud to be able to present some of the world-class performers that Bulgaria has to offer such as the women’s choir Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares  and the Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra.
In addition we are currently arranging concerts featuring some of the finest chamber music groups in the UK including the Medici Quartet and the Nash Ensemble. We are also delighted that the London Bulgarian Choir – winner of the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year 2006 - will be taking part in our Festival.

The LFBC presents a unique opportunity to promote at the highest artistic level Bulgaria in London, its cultural achievements and cultural heritage. It also offers a great example for intercultural relations between Bulgarian and UK artists, involved in the festival’s events.

The LFBC has already the support of many organisations in Bulgaria and the UK, and the unreserved support of the Bulgarian Embassy in London, the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bulgaria, the British Council and the British Embassy in Sofia, amongst others. Although we are delighted to receive their support, unfortunately it is not enough to be able to cover fully the financial aspect of this exciting project, and that is where your help is needed and would be much appreciated.

The festival will be the perfect opportunity for your company to receive significant exposure in the media, newspapers and advertising through websites, programmes, leaflets, and brochures. Our target audience includes business people interested in exploring Bulgaria and looking to establish professional links, concerts attendees of all ages, professionals, British institutions and organizations, Ambassadors and cultural attaches, politicians, the Bulgarian community in the UK, press and other media.

We offer a wide range of opportunities for sponsorship and advertising. Our main Sponsorship package includes three options of advertising possibilities of reaching potentially to over 500 000 people (adverts in the tube, South Bank websites, printed media, etc.). Those three options would require from your company a strong degree of financial commitment to our project. We have also other opportunities offering advertising space in our brochures, leaflets and printed media. In addition we could offer advertising and sponsorship opportunities in Bulgaria for your company, which would be linked to our festival here in London.

Please refer to the: Festival Summary document for full details.

I look forward to hearing from you and in the meantime do please get in touch with me if you have any initial queries,

Yours faithfully,

Ivo Stankov
