To all BBCC Members

COBCOE's (Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe) annual Gala Dinner and Chamber of the Year Awards will take place at the Royal Automobile Club, London, on March 23rd 2010, starting from 7 p.m.  Since we are a member of COBCOE, this event is open to all BBCC members and their guests and offers the opportunity to network with British and other European business leaders as well as members of parliament, journalists, ambassadors and other senior diplomats and government officials.

This year the Gala Dinner guest speaker is Lord Michael Hastings CBE, KPMG’s Global Head of Citizenship and Diversity, who was formerly the BBC’s first Head of Corporate Social Responsibility.  Michael is a non-executive Director of British Telecom (on the Board for Responsible and Sustainable Business) and a Trustee of the Vodafone Group Foundation. He represents KPMG International on the Global Corporate Citizenship International Committee of the World Economic Forum and the World Business Council on Sustainable Development. In 2009 he became a Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Council on Diversity and Talent. The evening will end with the traditional COBCOE Chamber of the Year Awards Ceremony, a scheme that recognises and showcases the achievements of COBCOE member Chambers and their staff across Europe.
